Galungan Ceremony in Bali
Experience the magic and spirituality of Bali’s most significant festival, Galungan, on 23 April 2025. Celebrated every 210 days, Galungan commemorates the victory of Dharma (good) over Adharma (evil), transforming the island into a vibrant tapestry of cultural celebrations.
During Galungan, locals dressed in traditional attire visit beautifully decorated temples, making offerings known as “Canang Sari.” Streets are adorned with tall bamboo poles called “Penjor,” decorated with coconut leaves, fruits, flowers, and cakes symbolizing prosperity and gratitude.

Travelers are warmly welcomed by Balinese families to observe and partake in these rich traditions. If you’re lucky, you might witness captivating Barong dance performances portraying mythical battles between good and evil—a remarkable experience for all ages.
Galungan provides an extraordinary opportunity to dive into Bali’s spiritual heart, creating lasting memories and deepening your appreciation of its rich cultural heritage.
