DINING AND CUISINE
COMO Uma Ubud, we focus on modern, light cuisine that shows the utmost respectful for local nuances. Kemiri’s menu revives traditional Indonesian dishes while also offering contemporary interpretations of the cuisines of neighbouring countries. In addition to Asian dishes, Uma Cucina our restaurant and lounge bar with a street-side setting at the front of COMO Uma Ubud serves Italian-inspired food. We also have our healthy COMO Shambhala Cuisine for those who like lighter, nutritionally rich menus and a special children’s menu offering for younger palates.
Uma Cucina is an Italian-inspired restaurant and lounge bar at COMO Uma Ubud, Bali. Informal and convivial, with outdoor terraces and a large communal dining table at the heart of the space, Uma Cucina reflects the homely ‘kitchen’ spirit behind its name (‘cucina’ means kitchen in Italian). Menus are strong on fresh, locally-sourced produce and the flavours of Italy. Seasonal vegetables, seafood and slow-cooked meats are rendered in colourful, easygoing options, perfect for sharing with friends. House specialities include handmade pastas, woodfired pizzas and breads, as well as classic Italian gelatos and granitas.
Bali is known for its calming spirit. At COMO Uma Ubud, guests can experience some of this texture in each and every one of the Asian-inspired treatments at the resort’s COMO Shambhala Retreat. There are few places in Bali as serene as this, where twisting wooden paths are flanked by koi carp ponds and lush green jungle. Guests can relax to the sound of the breeze as they indulge in our extensive range of massages, therapies and facials.
Our open-air yoga pavilion sits high in the Tjampuhan Valley, offering dramatic views of the river far below. Here, guests can take part in daily complimentary classes, or arrange private yoga sessions with our expert instructors. Other facilities include four serene treatment rooms, a reflexology area, steam rooms, a gym and a 25m outdoor pool – each element evoking Bali’s peaceful, health-giving character.
