- To Rantepao:
- By Road from Makassar (UPG): ~8–9 hrs drive (330 km) through scenic mountain roads; private transfers with stops en route recommended.
- By Air: Small domestic flight to Pongtiku Airport (TTR), Makale (limited schedule) – then 1 hr drive (40 km) to Rantepao.
