Balinese Healing Experience

Balinese shamanic healing is a traditional healing practice that combines Hinduism, animism, and traditional medicine. Balinese people visit Balian, or traditional healers, for physical, emotional, and spiritual guidance. They use a combination of herbal remedies, prayers, and rituals to restore balance and heal the root of a problem.

During shamanic healing, a shaman works with spirits to heal a person’s soul. The shaman may enter a trance state to contact the spirits. The client may experience visions, feelings, and voices.

This ancient healing practice has been ongoing for centuries and is still practiced today, although they also use modern medication.

There are a few different Balian specialties:

  • Balian tulang: A healer who specializes in repairing damaged bones.
  • Palm reading: a diagnostic technique that uses palm reading to help people navigate life challenges. It’s based on the idea that a person’s fate and personality are written in the lines, shapes, and colors of their palms.
  • Energy cleansing: A ritual that uses mantras to cleanse energy.
