Sunrise Mt. Sikunir – Sikidang Crater & Dieng Temple

Leave hotel at 02.00 am and drive around 2,5 hours to Mt. Sikunir. Arrive at 04.30 am and we will start trekking to the top of Sikunir. It's about 2,306 meters above the sea level and only takes 45 minutes trek to reach the peak. The peak offers an unforgettable sight of the beautiful golden sunrise with a backdrop of Mount Sindoro, Sumbing, Merapi, and Merbabu. Cebong lake is also seen from the peak of Sikunir.

Note: Sikunir is not recommended to visit on weekend or public holiday.

After enjoying the golden sunrise and panoramic, trek down and take a motorbike ride to Sikidang crater.

Sikidang Crater or Kidang Crater is a crater formed from volcanological activities in Dieng, sikidang name originates from the designation of the community for the phenomenon in the sikidang crater, the crater that often explodes and moves like a deer jumping is the origin of naming this crater.
In the tourist area of this sikidang crater, there is one main crater with a temperature of around 80-90 ° C, around the main crater, there is also a small crater crater, usually visitors can try boiling eggs with 8-10 minutes in the crater crater.

Sulfur in the crater area is also used by the community as soap and sold by tourists visiting. This crater is also one of the leading tourist attractions in the Dieng Plateau, even being the most visited by tourists due to their natural phenomena.

Afterward ride 15 minutes to Dieng temple. A mysterious plateau with a dozen scattered ninth century Hindu Temples. Take a drive to this isolated region with temples of great archaeological importance located within Dieng’s beautiful scenery. Steep mountainsides and terraced vegetable gardens enclose these marshy calderas of a collapsed volcano. Walk along the colored lakes and cover yourself with the mud of its steamy crater.

At 11.00 am drive 2,5 hours drive back to hotel for check-out and have lunch on the way. Afterward 1 hour drive to Selogriyo, trekking to Selogriyo temple or you can take motorbike ride pass the pathway with rice terrace view and enjoy the panoramic.

Late afternoon, transfer to Plataran Borobudur. End of service. Approx. arrive at 6.00 pm at Plataran Borobudur
