Komodo Island
Home to the Komodo dragons, which do not breathe fire but are massive reptiles found in one place in the world only, on Komodo island (and neighbouring Rinca), this is a must-do stop on a 3-5 day tailor-made island hop adventure. You will meet the Komodo dragons, for sure, as there are over 4,000 of them in the national park. Komodo island is one of several islands to explore in the Lesser Sunda Chain. Where can you see views of three different coloured beaches, a pink sand beach, a black sand beach, and a white sand beach, separated only by connected land ridges and sparkling blue water? The impressive sites around Komodo National Park include the dramatic volcanic hills, savannah and forests which welcome you to explore, plus many deserted islands.
You can even take off in a kayak early evening and experience bat laden trees fringed by volcanic lakes. Added to this, diving with mantas or snorkelling above shallow colourful, pristine reefs plus discovering deer and monkeys on selected treks makes for a tremendous Komodo experience. Finish your day off with a starlit barbeque on the beach. Let us show you this and more.
